Michael
Burr is Burr Business Solutions’ Vice President. Since its inception
in 2006, he has helped to lead BBS in providing mission-critical
program support to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Mr. Burr has over
30 years of professional experience in Logistics and Supply Chain
Management, Information Technology, Financial Management, and
Supervisory Management support within the Department of Defense.
He is
certified in Materials Management for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
for SAP and was an integral team member on projects such as the
development of a Relational Database Management System (RSupply),
transitions of Automated Information Systems to ERP solutions, and the
planning and implementation of a new Force Inventory Management
Analysis and Reporting System (FIMARS). Mr. Burr’s customer-focused
support has earned him such accolades as “Best in Class” achievement
for his improvement of multiple customer service organizations,
notoriety as “Top 1% of professional peers,” and recognition as
“Manager’s Manager.”
Prior to
joining BBS, Mr. Burr was an Operations Center Manager for Serco, Inc,
where he was directly responsible for over 70 personnel and revenue in
excess of $8 million. Mr. Burr retired as a Lieutenant Commander in
the Supply Corps after 20 years on active duty. He holds a BS degree
in Business Management, summa cum laude, from St. Leo College of
Florida and an MS in Financial Management from Naval Postgraduate
School in Monterey, California.
